Documenting a Day
Today was a hectic day!
Mondays are usually this hectic; it is
well expected.
For starters;
· I
woke up at 5:45 am to get me and my girls ready to start our day.
· I
shower and brush my teeth before waking up the sixteen-year-old. While my older
daughter is bathing, I wake up the 9-year-old so she can brush her teeth while
the other is showering.
· I get dressed and watch the morning news while
they get dressed. I also make them breakfast while they get ready. Usually, the
old one doesn’t like to eat breakfast at home. She likes to buy her breakfast
around her school. (making me waste money)
· My
little one likes mini pancakes or chocolate chip waffles. I help my little one
get ready, so we can leave the house on time.
· I
like leaving the house around 6:45 am because it takes about thirty-five to
forty minutes to get to my little one’s school due to all the traffic. She has
to be there t 7:25 am.
· Then
I drop off my oldest at the bus stop so she can get to her school.
· My
daily routine, especially for Monday mornings, is checking my phone and
reviewing any important job alerts… and there it is… Ten messages! Yes, 10!!
· Mondays
and Thursdays are when I have the most meetings; today, I had three major ones.
The reason is that my institution currently has a few major IT system
implementations.
· We
are upgrading currently upgrading the server for FollowMe print. That is a
system for secure printing.
· We
discontinued all the Chromebooks in the enterprise and are replacing them with
regular laptops—hectic months.
· I
get to the office at around 7:45 am. I check the team’s queue and assign all
the tickets as necessary. Also, I respond to any emails that need my attention.
I like to get in early because it gives me time to do as much as possible
before everyone comes in and starts the craziness.
Ahhh AHHH AHHH ahhhhh……Monday’s!
